Edinburgh Hotel Clearance

Mention Edinburgh and most people think of the castle, Royal Mile and the festival. Not us ... we start having nightmares about tram lines, traffic wardens and congestion.

This was easily one of the most challenging clearances we have tackled. Our remit was to clear a 70 bedroom hotel including function rooms, an adjoining 3 story townhouse, shop and basement nightclub. The property was located on one of Edinburgh's busiest junctions right in the centre of the city-where Princess St meets Shandwick Place. Endless amounts of pedestrians, trams and buses.

A large proportion of the clearance took place out of hours due to how busy the streets were - safety for our team and the public is always a top priority.

Over 40 tonnes of waste were removed over a 3 week period. We cleared everything from beds and mattresses to vending machines, office equipment and renovation debris.

We've been involved in larger clearances, but the restrictions imposed on us for this one certainly made it one of our most challenging!
