Retail Clearance

When you hear Barrow in Furness you perhaps don't associate it with waste disposal! It was a welcome break for two of our clearance teams who spent the best part of last week down there.

We were tasked to clear a retail unit which was located on a busy pedestrian thoroughfare fraught with challenge. The unit had to be cleared, taken back to bare walls and emptied of everything from fridges and coffee machines to shelving and office furniture in just 48 hours. We had the added challenge of no permit parking or skip access, as well as every third person who passed wanting to know what was happening to their beloved coffee shop!

We have cleared a number of these stores now and have now hit our stride on how best to tackle them. Over 90% of all material removed was recycled.  We had to involve a number of trades for everything to run smoothly but ultimately got it across the line on time and in budget.
